Discovery Through Play
Irene Hoff is a Dutch artist currently residing in Bali, Indonesia. She works with mix media; combining acrylic, oils, watercolour, ink on canvas and paper. Irene Hoff's style is so distinctive, you could recognise them as her's wherever you see them.

Her works are highly imaginative and playful. Still they're heavy with lessons which one couldn't fail to catch. It's like a good, serious lecture tempered with humour. One perceives the loftiness and at the same time, how tranquil the art is.

Can you note that this is not creating for its sake? Irene's art clearly has a direct aim. By the themes, we see that each work draws our attention to issues such as endangered animals, or the lives of a given group of people. To experience Irene Hoff is to experience yourself once more, to understand and discover where you are and the beauty you came into this world with.

I've always said art is not meant to just tickle or charm you. It should rip you open and give your fine head the chance to re-learn something, give you a fresh insight. So look at these representations of the black woman. What do you see? This Farm In Benin is Africa's Model of Sustainable Agriculture

Songhai Farms located in the Republic of Benin is perhaps the number one model of sustainable agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa. The farm operates on the principle of "zero waste' where every output is utilized in a way that there is no waste, and that sustainability is assured.
