When you've have a baby ladies, your tummy bulges some. You do not expect it to remain flat like when you were sixteen. Men should get that. You raise your child (or children) and you have to make a living, so between mom duties and work, you can only have so much time for workouts and relaxing, for getting crazy fun like you used to when you were in college, for taking care of your hair, your skin, doing your nails and dressing like sexiness itself. You don't have time for more than a bit of all that. You are a mother.
But listen, there have always been and there will always be mothers who maintain that clean, trendy, 'a decade younger than my age look' for their whole lives. They are the hot mamas and grandmas we come across from time to time. These are the ones who could not accept the reasoning that motherhood is some curse meant to shake off the beautiful in them. These ones do self care like super models while they try to hold their homes in place like a tigress.
Now this thing about looks, big subject. Priorities differ from person to person of course, so for some people, it is such vanity to bother about looks when there are major issues like career, your dreams, the state of the world economy, global warming, politics and children to be concerned about. This line of thought is healthy and alright of course, except that, it is also alright to do the things that give you joy even though they wouldn't directly serve you when there is a world to save. That is probably how your parents lived and the ones before them too. There could be no valid reason for you to maintain patterns like that.
One of such graceful women is Maureen Powel - lifestyle blogger, stylist, model and mother of two beautiful girls, Sifare and India. How does one look this fine with two kids? Beats me. Someone asks: are the girls happy, how can we be sure she can make out time enough to take care of them as a good, responsible parent should. I say, you do not even have to ask that question, sounds like negativity and it's ugly.
