Daniel Ibanez creates paintings that are so like mirrors. His work clearly reflects hope, beauty, and the presence of the divine in all forms of existence in the world. No matter the haste you're in, you'll definitely not fail to miss one of these creations if it's hanging from a wall along your path. They are like a soft light that somehow sinks into your being, making you feel as if you'll never know darkness again. The skill of our artist is so boldly apparent, you can see, can't you?
Daniel IbaƱez is a contemporary realism artist, illustrator, and instructor of Traditional and Digital Arts from the state of Colorado, USA. The man has been painting since he was a baby and he's revealed that he's of a family of artists. His grandmother was an oil painter. Ibanez sold his first oil painting at fifteen and by the time he was nineteen, he had won awards, had had solo shows and had been privileged to have his work displayed in galleries like Abend in Denver and Rich Designs in Colorado Springs. He was featured in Southwest Art Magazine as one of the upcoming young artists in America.
After university, Ibanez went on making art while keeping a good job teaching art. When Google launched its social network Google+, Ibanez' digital painting instructions were found to be of vibrant use in its social media toolkit. So he was placed on its recommended users kits and gained wild renown. Overnight, he had 1.5 million followers, an experience he later gave a Ted talk about.
Married with a kid now, it turns out however that our artist's biggest challenge at this time is the chronic illness his lovely wife battles with. In spite of the daily struggle (with the his wife's health and being a father), Ibanez makes it a point to make digital and oil paintings everyday as a kind of personal exercise challenge and posting regularly on his Instagram page.
I like that most of his really interesting paintings are of his beautiful wife. You want to see more of this artist and what he does on his website and on Instagram.
